Few cities in America feature inclines, and none are as historic as the Monongahela or Duquesne Incline, both of which overlook one of the world's great cityscapes.
The inclines operate approximately every 15 minutes.
Monongahela Incline
Often called the Mon Incline for short, the Monongahela Incline is the oldest continuously operating funicular railway in the U.S.
Opened on May 28, 1870, it transports more than a half a million riders each year.

Monday - Saturday: 5:30 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. Sundays and holidays: 8:45 a.m. to midnight

Duquesne Incline
The Duquesne Incline is owned by us and operated by the nonprofit Society for the Preservation of the Duquesne Heights Incline.
Effective Friday, September 1, 2023 the new hours of operation of the Duquesne Incline will be 6:30 AM until 12:30 AM, daily (seven days a week).
Hours:
Monday - Saturday: 5:30 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. Sundays and holidays: 7 a.m. to 12:45 a.m.
