Service Adjustments

We adjust schedules three times a year. These changes will go into effect on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Please look closely at the changes below, as service has been adjusted on some routes based on current ridership and to improve reliability. 

Click on the route name to view the PDF schedule. 

To streamline and condense schedules, some timepoints have been removed from the online and paper schedules. Those stops will continue to be served.

CHANGES RELATED TO RED LINE CONSTRUCTION

Bus Routes:

37-Castle Shannon – Shuttle temporarily established to support Red Line construction project. The shuttle will begin at Castle Shannon Park and Ride and proceed to Station Square using Castle Shannon Boulevard, to Shady Drive, Washington Road, West Liberty Avenue and through the Mt. Washington Transit Tunnel to Station Square. Riders can then transfer to bus or light-rail to downtown and the North Shore.

42-Potomac – Shuttle temporarily established to support Red Line construction project. The shuttle will begin near Potomac Station and proceed to Station Square using Broadway Avenue to travel through Beechview before heading down Cape May Avenue to connect to West Liberty Avenue and the South Busway through the Mt. Washington Transit Tunnel to Station Square.

Light Rail:

Red Line – During Red Line construction, all Red Line trips will be designated as Blue Line trips from South Hills Village. Upon the completion of the Red Line project, full Red Line service will resume.

Red Line Short Shuttle – This Red Line Shuttle will operate temporarily between Dormont Junction and Overbrook Junction during the Red Line construction project. The shuttle will stop at Overbrook Junction, Castle Shannon, Arlington, Poplar, Mt. Lebanon and Dormont Junction and will enable riders to connect to the bus shuttles or to connect to the Blue Line into downtown at Willow Station or outbound to South Hills Village.

After construction is complete:

Silver Line – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

Red Line – After the completion of the Red Line construction project, a new schedule will go into effect with some weekday and weekend trip times changed to improve on-time performance.

Blue Line – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

Bus Routes:

1-Freeport Road – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

2-Mount Royal – The span of service and mall service hours for weekdays and Saturdays have changed. The Ross Park Mall stop has been moved to the perimeter road of the mall.     

12-McKnight – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance. The span of service and mall service hours for weekdays and weekend have changed. The Ross Park Mall stop has been moved to the perimeter road of the mall.

13-Bellevue – Some weekday trip times have changed due to a schedule committee request.

15-Charles – Some Saturday trip times have changed due to a schedule committee request.

20-Kennedy – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

22-McCoy – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

24-West Park – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

26-Chartiers – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

53L-Homestead Park Limited – Some weekday morning trip times have changed to improve connections to other routes.

54-North Side-Oakland-South Side – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

55-Glassport – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance. Routing has changed due to construction at the North Versailles Walmart. The stop will be moved from the storefront driveway to Walmart Drive.

58-Greenfield – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

59-Mon Valley – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance. Routing has changed due to construction at the North Versailles Walmart. The stop will be moved from the storefront driveway to Walmart Drive.

60-McKeesport-Walnut – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

61A-North Braddock – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

61B-Bradock-Swissvale – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

61C-McKeesport-Homestead – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

61D-Murray Short – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

67-Monroeville - Some weekday trip times have changed.

69-Trafford – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance. During weekday early morning and late evening hours, short trips between Wilkinsburg Station and Forbes Hospital have been added, and outbound trips during those hours have been shifted.

71A-Negley Short – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

71B-Highland Park – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

71C-Point Breeze Short – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

71D-Hamilton Short – Some weekday and weekend outbound trip times in Oakland have changed to improve on-time performance. The route will now use the Wallace Avenue ramp in Wilkinsburg to enter and exit the East Busway. To improve routing efficiency, the route will no longer use Hay Street Ramp.

77-Penn Hills – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

79-East Hills – To improve routing efficiency, the outbound direction will now use the Wallace Avenue Ramp in Wilkinsburg to enter the East Busway. The inbound exit from the busway will continue to use the Hay Street Ramp.

82-Lincoln – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

86-Liberty – The route will now use the Wallace Avenue ramp in Wilkinsburg to enter and exit the East Busway. To improve routing efficiency, the route will no longer use Hay Street Ramp.

G2-West Busway – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

G3-Moon Flyer – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

O5-Thompson Run Flyer – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve on-time performance. New downtown routing will align with the O1 and O12 routes due to the NEXTransit Downtown network study.

O12-McKnight Flyer – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

P10-Allegheny Valley Flyer – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

P16L-Penn Hills-Leechburg Flyer – Limited Harmar trips will now service the Harmar Park and Ride to improve routing efficiency and provide service to the park and ride along with the P10-Allegheny Valley Flyer. Inbound morning and outbound evening trips will now begin/end at the park and ride. Some weekday trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.

P17-Lincoln Park Flyer – The outbound direction will now use the Wallace Avenue ramp in Wilkinsburg to enter the East Busway to improve routing efficiency. The inbound exit from the busway will continue to use the Hay Street ramp.

P76-Lincoln Highway Flyer – Some weekday and weekend trip times have changed to improve on-time performance. Routing has changed due to construction at the North Versailles Walmart. The stop will be moved from the storefront driveway to Walmart Drive.
