We held virtual public meetings in December 2020 to discuss the proposed design concepts for Belasco Station. If you were unable to attend, we welcome you to review the presentation and provide feedback.

Project Plan
The Beechview community requested an accessible station in the 1.8 mile stretch between Fallowfield and Potomac stations. Pittsburgh Regional Transit with input from the City of Pittsburgh's Department of City Planning and Department of Mobility Infrastructure, conducted an analysis of converting the low-platform stop at Belasco into a high-platform, accessible station for all patrons. Belasco was chosen due to community preference as well as its location along straight tracks, where the nearby Shiras stop is located along curved tracks.
Station design concepts have been developed for public outreach and feedback. The concepts follow state and local design standards and codes covering pedestrian safety, traffic patterns, impacts to existing parking, bus boarding during disruptions in light rail service, and patron comfort.
Belasco Station design documents will be completed in 2024.
